Andrea Macauley

Andrea joined Legal Aid DC after completing the rigorous MORCA-Georgetown University Paralegal Program. Andrea will primarily be housed in the Intake Unit but will also work alongside the Family Unit staff.

Andrea has a background in broadcasting and previously ran her own radio show at Virginia Tech. She studied at the Connecticut School of Broadcasting and attended Shenandoah University where she majored in mass communications. Most recently she worked for The Architect of the U.S. Capitol and as a park ranger for the National Park Service.

She was motivated to study law because of her interests in civil, business, family, and immigration law. She is a believer in “knowledge is power” and is excited to expand her own knowledge of the legal field. In her free time Andrea enjoys playing the guitar and attending live music events.
