Rebecca Dayan

Rebecca Dayan joined Legal Aid DC in April 2023 as a Legal Assistant/Paralegal supporting the Consumer Unit. She is currently a student in George Washington University’s Paralegal Studies program and will receive her graduate certificate in May 2023. She previously worked as a case manager and HIV/Hepatitis C tester at St. Ann’s Corner of Harm Reduction in the Bronx where she completed intakes, helped clients access healthcare services, and facilitated health education and support groups. Additionally, while living in New York, she volunteered at the Lower East Side Harm Reduction Center and the Catholic Worker soup kitchen. 

As an undergraduate student at Sarah Lawrence College, Rebecca completed a Policy and Campaigns internship at the Katal Center for Health, Equity and Justice focusing on the Close Rikers and speedy trial reform campaigns. She completed research assistant positions in the Anthropology and Psychology departments.
